Job Purpose
To lead the day-to-day operations, within standard practice defined for factories ensuring that customer requirements in terms of quality, service and delivery are met.
Ensuringimproving performance, productivity, efficiency, employee engagement and profitability of the operations through appropriate methods and strategies.
Constantly evaluate the efficiencies, quality, safety standards, risk measures and efficacies of the operation against peers in the Group and competitors outside the Group. Implementing best practices to meet and exceed benchmarks.

Profile of Candidate
A recognized qualification in either engineering or business management from a SA Institute Experience,
3 -5 years, in managing a production section or plant andor managed a maintenance team with various disciplines
Exposure to best practices in production and people management, management of Health Safety practices, conflict resolution and equipment reliability
Exposure to inter department interaction, business planning and objective setting
Exposure to compliance with legislation related to the industry in terms of Health safety, manufacturing, business governance and financial and accounting requirements
Ability to travel on a national basis
Unreliable working hours, will require some afterhours work
Be computer literate and the use of information systems
Team member at a management level

Comply with quality, safety, customer service, ethical standards
Develop a motivated, skilled and engaged workforce
Cooperate with other divisions in the Group to ensure optimal Group and operating unit performance
Optimise resources and processes to produce within cost and efficiency guidelines
Ensuring customer satisfaction with their interaction with the factory
Ensuring proper maintenance of the factory and its equipment
