The cut is everything with extensions! Dont you agree? Have you ever applied a full head of long extensions and then had a silent freak out moment when it came time to cut?
You feel like your client is giving you the stink eye and silently thinking, dont you dare cut too much off after I paid so much money for this hair!
You can apply a perfect set of extensions, with the highest quality hair, but none of that matters, if you cant finish the look. If you dont master the cut, well... itll ALWAYS look like a set of extensions. And you KNOW youre better than that!
Ive been there, its not a fun place to be. I used to have major anxiety around cutting extensions. I would take an EXTRA long break after the set was applied trying to talk myself out of not just leaving the salon immediately and never coming back. I practiced so much over the past 10 years, I closely watched a mentor, and worked through my fears until it became FUN. Now cutting extensions is my favorite thing to do. I know I can tackle ANY set of extensions with confidence. As they say, feel the fear do it anyway.
