The NIMART course has been developed as a response to the call to action by the South African Government to strengthen the response to HIV and TB epidemics and is specifically developed for and aimed at professional nurses working in the field of HIV and TB. NIMART improves the effectiveness of HIV programmes in primary health settings.
The 5-day course is a standalone intensive course that focuses on the management of TB, HIV and STIs as well as strengthening counselling skills, monitoring and evaluation of HIV and TB programmes.
