The Mozambique Council of Ministers has approved the proclamation of Maputo National Park. The new park, formally merges Maputo Special Reserve and Ponta do Ouro Marine Reserve under one management structure.
In 2018, Administrao Nacional das reas de Conservao and Peace Parks entered into a new 15 partnership agreement with the emphasis on developing the two reserves to achieve self sustainability.
