Western Province has been granted the opportunity to host the SA LSEN Learners with Special Educational Needs National U19 Cricket Tournament. This sports event will take place at Jan Kriel School in Kuils River from the 2nd to the 6th of October 2022.

LSEN cricket within South Africa represents cricket played by learners with learning difficulties which may include dyslexia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder ADHD to mention but a few for more information see the attached SA LSEN National Tournament Sponsorship Proposal.

Ten LSEN teams comprising 13 players and 5 team management officials will represent their respective unions and make the travel to Kuils River where they will be accommodated at Jan Kriel School for the duration of the cricket week. There is not a lot of funding available to host such a tournament. Many of our players come from disadvantaged backgrounds and this tournament will not be subsidized by Cricket South Africa CSA, as was the case in previous years.

It is for this reason that we need the support of businesses andor individuals who are able to assist us and contribute through sponsorships or donations. Your assistance will not go unappreciated, no matter how big or small. You will be doing a great service in ensuring a sports opportunity for boys who are so often overlooked as a result of them not being part of mainstream school cricket structures. Our boys have the same capabilities, so we would like to create the same exposure opportunities for them as well.

Sponsoring our tournament or team is not only a great way to get involved with the cricket and greater community, but is also an amazing form of marketing for your business. Our team has 13 players, and we will play against nine other unions during the tournament. That means your business will have branding in front of hundreds of people during the duration of the cricket week. With that type of exposure, everyone will remember that your business supported us.
