Going through my late teens and early 20s I always knew it wasnt normal to have intense mood swings, get acne, have anxiety, experience insomnia, be chronically bloated, have stomach pains, water retention, and painful periods. And after about 5 years of this my symptoms evolved metabolically affecting my weight, energy and body temperature.
At first I thought it was normal because loads of my friends complained of similar things here and there Im so bloated before my period I crave carbs Im so anxious I cant eat that Im intolerant Im too tired to exercise I cant lose weight no matter how much I exercise or how little I eat and it goes on. But these are not normal and I started to realise intuitively that going to the doctors and getting antibiotics and meds isnt the answer.
Ever since I seeked our natural solutions to healing and ended up finding the Naturopathic Medicine degree I am studying today I have transformed physically and mentally. I am one year away from qualifying and have been seeing my own clients this last year of studying with professional supervision and have loved every second of it.
My first piece of advice to anyone is address your mindset. Being cruel to yourself and putting yourself down just puts you in a negative place, so be kind to yourself and listen to your body and align your habits with what you need.
