The MTP Roads Upgrading Project in Uganda, constructed by China Communications Construction, is located in northwest Uganda and has a total length of 154 km, including a new bridge across the Nile River and road construction through a wildlife park.
The Paraa Bridge, a part of the project, crosses the Victoria Nile, linking the north and south sides of the river and ending the history of crossing the river by ferry here. The project officially started on April 23rd, 2018 and is expected to be fully open to traffic in February, 2022. Now, 95 of the project has been completed.
