GOD MY SAVIOUR, IS MY HEALER

Exodus 1526 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
Recall from day one that the above text was explained to show that Moses wrote of God as a HEALER one who immunes from and heals sicknesses and diseases. This affirmation was in the context of the redemptiondeliverance of the children from Egypt and taking them to the land of Canaan.
Therefore, Moses presented to them the fact that God is able to heal them of sickness and disease to teach them of Gods promise of deliverance and redemption. This is more evident in the fact that healing was referenced consistently as a sign of salvationredemption.
Observe the following texts of scripture.
Psalms 1031-4 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities who healeth all thy diseases 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies

In verse 2, David writes to bless the Lord and forget not his BENEFITS, which are that
He forgives all thine iniquities
He heals all thy diseases
Hence, the Psalmist explains God as one who forgives iniquities and heals diseases in the same breath. While forgiveness of sins is in Gods work of salvation, healing is referred to as a sign of his salvationredemptiondeliverance.

Psalms 10719-20 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. 20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
He David referred to God sending his word while people were in troubledistress, and he referred to this as healing them and delivering them from their distresses.

Isaiah, in his book, consistently applied terms of sickness and disease to exemplify the spiritual state of men in sin and healing to communicate Gods planpromise of redemptionsalvation.
Isaiah 14-6 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. 5 Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. 6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
To explain iniquity and sin, he described with the terms head is sick, wounds, bruises, putrifying sores.

Isaiah 531-6 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground he hath no form nor comeliness and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief and we hid as it were our faces from him he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray we have turned every one to his own way and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
In verse 1, he referred to the arm of the Lord who he described in the proceeding verses
He bore our griefs and carried our sorrows Verse 4
He was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities
The chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed
Observe that Isaiah employed these to explain what the promised saviour the arm of the Lord was to fulfil
The Lord laid on him the iniquity of us all
Isaiah 5310-11 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him he hath put him to grief when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many for he shall bear their iniquities.

So, he employed terms of healing of bodily ailment to show the saviours sacrifice for sins.
Thus, the healing of bodily ailments is a sign or proof of Gods redemptionsalvation. In clear terms, God the saviour is also God the healer.
One, therefore, ought to recognise that since healing is a sign of Gods salvation, it implies that if God can has forgive n my sins, I ought to recognise that he is also able to heal me of sickness and disease. As I affirm the forgiveness of sins, redemption, salvation which are fulfilled by Jesus in his sacrifice for sins, I ought to consistently learn to affirm the fact that God heals sickness and disease.

CONFESSION
I recognise that he forgives sins and that he heals all sicknesses and diseases.
He is my saviour and he is also my HEALER.
