GOD IS ABLE TO HEAL ME

Exodus 1526 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
The above text of scripture highlights a very important fact that every individual ought to be acquainted with.
This was written in the setting of the children of Israel leaving Egypt having been delivered from pharaoh and the Egyptians. The preceding chapters show that while there were plagues on the Egyptians, the Israelites were preserved from these while in the same location EGYPT.
Similarly in Exodus 15.24-25, water which was bitter was made sweet after Moses cut a tree into it. Observe what Moses then states about God
. . .I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians for I am the LORD that healeth thee
The phrase I will put can be better understood as I will not allow because Gods role was that he preventedprotected the Israelites from the plagues. Also the phrase I have brought is only one word in the original language. This means there was no pronoun attached to it in the original. The pronoun I was added by the King James version in its translation. The effect of this is that the text is not saying it was God that brought diseases on Egypt rather the text is better understood as I will not allow the diseases upon you which came upon the Egyptians The next statement is an important one to note I am the Lord that health thee. Hence, Moses clearly referred to God as the Lord that healeth thee.
It can therefore be clearly affirmed that GOD IS A THE HEALER
The word healer refers to one that PROTECTS, IMMUNES and HEALS from sickness and disease. This fact of God being a healer therefore ought to be very clear in the mind of every individual. The word healer also carries a meaning of one who heals all and every kind of sickness or disease as against one who is specialized in healing certain types.
Moses wrote similarly in Exodus 2325
Exodus 2325 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
Observe the phrase I will take sickness away from the midst of thee which also buttresses the fact that God is one who heals who takes awayheals sickness or protects from sickness and disease.
David in the book of Psalms also highlighted this fact of God being a healer.
Psalms 10720-21 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. 21 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
In the preceding verses, David had been writing concerning the deliverance of the Israelites and in verse 20, he stated that God sent his word and HEALED them and delivered them from their destruction.
In several other texts, the fact of God being a healer was emphasized.
Psalms 1031-3 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities who healeth all thy diseases
God who forgives iniquities is one who HEALS all diseases. This bears the fact that he is ABLE to.
In the four gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Jesus also healed the sick and this was explained as Gods work on the earth.
Acts 1038 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was with him.
Peter, in preaching Jesus earthly ministry, explained this as Jesus healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was with him, he was anointed with the Holy Ghost.
Matthew 928 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
Jesus asked the blind men an important question here
Do you believe that I am ABLE to do this?
They affirmed and believed this fact and received healing.
It is therefore an important basic fact I should affirm that GOD IS ABLE TO HEAL that he keeps, protects, and heals from sickness and disease.

CONFESSION
God is a my healer. Healing is Gods ability
I see and recognise him as a healer, MY HEALER.
I affirm that God is ABLE to heal me of any and every sickness and to keep me hale and hearty. Amen.
